Hello, friend! I’m Sunni Baerwalde, founder of Simply Sunni. I help new and early-stage bloggers move from scattered ideas and uncertainty to a clearer, more manageable plan for starting and growing a meaningful blog.
Simply Sunni grew from years of professional content writing, digital marketing, SEO, and teaching. After helping businesses and bloggers find the right words, reach their audiences, and build their online presence, I realized the part I loved most was helping people understand how blogging actually works.
Today, I create approachable blogging courses, tutorials, free resources, videos, community support, and limited one-on-one guidance. Everything is designed to explain content planning, writing, SEO, promotion, and blogging strategy without making you feel as though you should already know all the answers.
I am especially passionate about helping women in the second half of life use their experience, ideas, and God-given gifts in a fresh way. A new chapter can bring uncertainty, but it can also bring time, wisdom, purpose, and an opportunity to build something meaningful.
You are not too late to begin, and you certainly do not have to figure it all out on your own.
Long before there was Simply Sunni, there was Sunni and Bruce. We have been together since we were 15 years old and celebrated 35 years of marriage on June 8, 2026. Our life together has grown to include two adult daughters, two adult sons, four wonderful children-in-law, and six incredible grandbabies—five already filling our lives with joy and one precious little one on the way. Being Gigi is one of my greatest blessings.
Home is in the Tampa, Florida, area, where family life is usually full, lively, and never boring. Outside of writing, teaching, and creating resources for bloggers, you may find me singing, sewing, creating art, working in the garden, or spending time with the people I love most.
Faith, family, creativity, and encouraging others are woven into everything I do. Titles and accomplishments may change through the years, but my family will always come first—no matter what.
Simply Sunni Creative Studio did not begin with a perfectly mapped-out business plan. It began with a desire to create, encourage others, and build something meaningful with the gifts and experience God had given me.
I share that journey in my book, Sprinkle It With Sunshine. It tells the story of how Simply Sunni began, the lessons I learned while building the business, and the faith, creativity, determination, and sunshine that carried me through each new chapter.
